The Coalition to Eradicate Viral Hepatitis in Asia Pacific (CEVHAP) was established in
October 2010 as a multidisciplinary body to advocate for public policy reforms that
reduce the burden of viral hepatitis in Asia-Pacific.
World Health Assembly approved a new resolution on hepatitis, which calls for concrete action on viral hepatitis by the WHO and Member States, in Geneva on 22 May 2014.

On 25 September, continuing the momentum behind World Hepatitis Day 2013, a seminar for general practitioners was organized jointly by PPHVI (the Indonesian Association of Hepatitis Control), MSD Indonesia and the Health Department of Jakarta Province (DinKes). The Health Department of Jakarta Province invited 300 General Practioners from all Sub-districts of the Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) and District General Hospitals (RSUD) in the province of Jakarta. Great enthusiasm was demonstrated amongst the GP community, with approx. 250 GPs registering to attend. In coming months, organizers are hoping to hold further seminars in other regions outside Jakarta.
